Art Trail
Cloth Road Artists will run the third Cloth Road Arts Week this year between Saturday 3rd May and Sunday 11th May 2008. This one promises to be the best to date. The nine day week opens a window on the tremendous diversity and range of visual creativity in West Wiltshire and will showcase some 80 artists and makers at 34 different venues, many in their own studios.
Most venues will be open from 11am to 6pm each day and all are free.
Artists will take part in different locations in West Wiltshire, from galleries in town centres to individual studios in the heart of the countryside. Many artists will join together to offer a variety of different work at a single location.
Some artists will offer practical workshops with nominal charges and many will provide you with refreshments whilst you browse work at your chosen venue.
This will be your opportunity to meet local artists in their own studios, to see how they work and to talk to them on a one-to-one basis.
Free brochures for the art trail are now available from local Tourist Information Centres, local Libraries and local shops as well as in libraries across the South West of England and many art centres.

To run this event we rely on local sponsors and local authorities. For the 2008 event we received support from West Wiltshire District Council, Bradford on Avon Town Council, Trowbridge Town Council, Bratton, West Ashton, Hilperton, Melksham Without, Hilperton and Semington Parish Councils and from Dentons Directories.

The next event after this year's will be in 2010.
Details and fees to take part in the 2010 Arts Week event will be emailed to Cloth Road Artist members nearer the time as well as other publicity published inviting other artists to take part, as a member or non-member.
Between events you can still join and benefit as a Cloth Road Artist member year round. You'll benefit from your own free listing on the website, receive regular newsletters and be part of a network of artists who exchange and share information to support one another's development and practice, have access to the Members Exchange on the website, and receive discounts on fees when the Cloth Road Arts Weeks take place. The arts week entry fees for 2008 ranged from £30 - £75 for individuals or groups, and £90 - £100 for a gallery, and covered brochure design and printing, posters and advertising, all promoting both the Cloth Road Arts Week and each individual artist entry.
